Brand new airport which is large and
modern. It was just like any major international city airport. You can fly
direct from London, Paris, Dubai, Chicago, New York, that I know of. The
airport is about 40 minutes away from the clinic, hotel and where you want to
be in Hyderabad. Airport website

Considering this was my first trip to
Hyderabad, I felt more comfortable in a hotel. I did not want to go shopping or
plan meals. I liked having the assistance of hotel services.
·
I’ve been to India before. I was in
Mumbai about 2 years ago. So I kind of knew what to expect in an Indian city. I liked Hyderabad better than Mumbai. The city
did not seem as crazy or crowded as Mumbai. It also seemed easier to get
around. Hyderabad has everything you need. From old town tiny lanes to modern
roads and building that look like they could be anywhere in California. Big malls, condos, stunning houses, glass
office buildings, and international stores. I personally would have no problem
living here for 2-3 months waiting on passports. It is a city that you can navigate
in English and if you do not like India food, you have a boat load of choices
of any international cuisine that you could dream of.
·
I felt save in Hyderabad. However like
any big city regardless where it is located in the world, you use common sense.
So I wouldn’t leave my handbag unattended or go lurking around back alleys in
the dead of night.

The first time we went to visit the
clinic we really had no idea what to expect. However once we arrived we were surprised
on a number of ways. First, the clinic was located in a separate small building
behind a fence. For some reason I was not expecting this, probably due to
living in New York where clinics are in high rise buildings or in massive hospitals.
However this really was a mistake on my part. I was comparing apples to
oranges. For example, living here in Switzerland, my doctor is located in an
apartment building, our nearest hospital is tiny and I had to make an
appointment to go to the emergency room! Our stores and banks close for lunch.
VERY different from New York. So I would suggest keep in mind that everything
is not going to look the same in other countries.
·
The clinic itself is actually quite
large. It is located on three floors and traditional looking. Again I could
compare it to my clinic in New York, which was slick and decked out in the
latest architect style of a fancy medical office with views of the East river,
with the latest magazines of Instyle, Newsweek and Elle. It was also cold and
informal and sometimes made me feel like cattle. The greeting usually was to
confirm that either our insurance was paying them or our credit card was, before I
was allowed to sign in to the waiting list to see a nurse or a doctor, that changed daily.
The part of Kiran that we saw was on
the second floor and was a quiet setting. We needed to take our shoes off,
which is a custom and met Anjani right away. We had 100% attention on us,
questions directed to us and the offices were clean and tidy. William wanted me
to remind every man going to the clinic and leaving a sample to lock the door,
so that the nurse does not accidentally walk in on you while your preforming your
duties. (Yes, that did happen)
·
I found the staff trustworthy and
polite. Everyone had a smile on their face when we were at the clinic. There was something gentle about them and I
felt that they cared. Anjani I found very professional and I trusted that he
could help me in regards to any problem I could have either at the clinic or in
Hyderabad in general.

Dr. Samit I felt was very professional
and honest when it came to our concerns and questions. I have full faith in
him. If I did not, I would not be here at this moment writing about it, I would
be searching for another option.
In my next post, I am going to explain the services
I received and how the contract we have works. Let me know if I missed
anything.
